New Forums?

We need to go either mybb or phpbb. and I'm willing to help set it up. I think we need a new name too. Hissing Worms isn't professional.

phpbb, the forum we want to switch to, has an arcade plug-in. A 100x better arcade than our current "arcade".

Thing is we won't have the same stuff or skin and all the posts will get erased. I'm very partial about this but if Fusious can make something that you guys like better than the current site then we will switch. Is that agreeable to you fusious, let the members decide which they like better?

No. I refuse to put a lot of hardwork into it if members may choose. Because if they don't choose the one that I made, I will have done all of it for NO reason at all.

We won't have documented posts back, but I can edit everyone's post count that has a post count and I will restore your post count.

I've already done the same thing with a lot of work. I had a mybb forum setup and I didn't really care that they didn't like it. It's more about what the members want than what the staff wants. And setting up a forum isn't THAT hard. If you can't impress the members then why switch at all?

You did an hour of work. You didn't really do anything. You added forums, added simple plug-ins, added a theme and that's it. You didn't set-up usergroups, code templates for custom fit, add a bunch of complicated plug-ins, make a banner, edit forum icons, etc.

Dude, take a chill pill. Seriously, just do the work or don't. Simple as that.

That forum I did was more like 5 hours of work JUST to set it up because I was new to that. Anyway, I'm going to be dead on honest with you. I could really care less how many mods we get for the forum. I actually think having less mods makes the forum better. Ever seen Newgrounds? They basically don't have any mods and it's still a very active forum. It's also not about the options that staff have too. It's all about what the members like and want. And if they don't want it then oh well. I'm sure you've done wasted work before and yes, it sucks, but you moved on.
