New Forums?

We need to go either mybb or phpbb. and I'm willing to help set it up. I think we need a new name too. Hissing Worms isn't professional.

We've considered moving before, and the majority of members were against it. Most of us are pretty happy here.

This vote was to move to mybb. My option is to move to phpbb. We will be able to have a ton more features. We are currently using phpbb, so this won't be that big of a move if we do.

Only issues I see with this is not being able to keep all posts that have been made and the skin will probably be lost unless I do a lot of work switching over. The main issue I have is losing all the posts.

Posts can be regained, active and true members can not.

It shouldn't matter about the posts. It should matter about activity.

Yeah, we have lots of good stuff worth reading here, too. A lot of it is just hilarious, technical, or downright stupid. Hissing Worms was also a sort of inside joke that ultimately pulled off into a title, and most of the people here are cool widdit or just couldn't care less.

Personally, I like it here. I usually don't like switching forums, as members will be lost. And yeah, the name isn't a problem. If anything, it makes people curious, and they cone to see what it is.

Like Fusious told me, if any of you are loyal to hissing worms you wouldn't mind switching forums all for the better in the end. Even if we lose the documented posts it's not that hard to get it back up.

But this could easily kill the site. Switching isn't always an answer.

I'm not sure where the site's destruction is coming from. Could you clarify?

We just need a show of hands to see who's loyal enough to stay with Hissing Worms. As long as the posts are back up and it allows code, I'm fine. A name change is unnecessary.

It only dies if the "loyal" people don't help out. Everyone would need to help actually get members and it will stay alive. Members can be replaced, loyal members are a dime a dozen.

I'm guessing the majority are willing to, it's just not in our best interest. But hey, if there are more features and minimum/no losses, I'm fine with it. Ultimately, it's KM's choice.

If it delays the arcade and limits some other features, I say no. If not, sure, why not...

Again, I don't think it's 'cause we want to, it's just another option. If it'll give us more features we'll actually use, then it's fine by me. If by some random reason we must switch sites, then it's alright with me.
