I play it, and I'm not too far into it. (finding iron ore is still a big deal if that tells you anything)
I just got it a few days ago, so I havent had much te to do anything. I tried building this epic stone castle my second night, and I left a little window open for time awareness. Well, I turn around and a super creeper explodes, leveling everything in a ten block radius. Then I tried bulding a sky castle. After I fell off of it seven times, I just built a house at my spawn point. Now I have connected all my old houses with this one, as well as discovered a near infinite supply of coal. But I haven't found anything rarer than iron ore.

Iron ore can be foun on the surface lol. I'm building a castle leading directly into my mine. Quick hint: play on peaceful when exploring and building.

Is that like runescape

I have it. But a very old version of it. My friend gave me a torrent with a new version but I don't really like the cheats and stuff with it(modded into the game from his pack). Makes it not fun.

only in my original house


hints:

play on peaceful at the beginning.

build a house at your spawnpoint.

make a mine in your house (go veeery deep and use ladders/water elevator to get up) you will find a lot of gold diamond redstone etc etc etc.

build a compas if you are going to explore

to get a lot of coal at the beginning, burn wood with wood (sounds weird i know)

build 1 big tower at your spawnpoint if you dont have a compas

more to come (maybe)

Thats how you be a newbie If you want to have fun, play on atleast normal at all times. If you play on peaceful or easy all the time, you might as well just play the free creation mode.

Na, always be on peaceful when building. Turn it up when mining though.

I only want gold to make a clock, so i know what time of day it is underground.

It is a sandbox-mode kind of game downloaded from your computer. costs about $20 rite now.
