I like what you were going with. The left part of the sig caught my eye in a bad way. It would have looked awesome if you had kept with that green fractal thing you were doing and made it sharper. Also beware with copy/pasting the render and blurring like that. It made the color throughout the middle look bad.

I see what you were trying to do. It's good for a beginner now try working your way up. Possibly some more Tuts in this style would help
