My writing skills aren't that great so I do apologize in advance for any grammatical errors.
As he handed the store clerk his I.D. card, he smiled sheepishly at the person in line next to him, who quickly turned away. He knew why too, it was because he had one arm. Everyone in the store wouldn't even look at him. This fact did not disturb him as it had before, he was seldom bothered by anything anymore.
"Thanks", he managed to squeak out as the clerk handed him his I.D. and whiskey.
After quickly departing the convenience store he began making his way home and eventually ended up at a crosswalk. He despised crosswalks for two reasons, he was not a very patient man, and it was the perfect area for an ambush.
When he looked up, the light turned green, he began to walk, then it happened. A car engine started up and the vehicle started speeding towards him. The man shook his head, reached into his coat pocket and withdrew a small blue vial. He threw it at the car, and in a magnificent show of sparks, the car had vanished, leaving only a man hurtling along the concrete at 30 mph.
The light show would certainly attract the attention of the police, so he began to make his escape. Leaving behind his timid charade he quickened his pace. He passed many people on the street, none of them would look at him, he knew why, he was an Alchemist, this fact didn't bother him anymore, nothing would bother him anymore.
