| After reading a pretty nostalgic gaming article caught my mind (below), I came upon this question: "What fond memories do you have of video gaming?" Here's basically everything the article had in it. - Spoiler:
--Note: Ironically enough, Death has Died (someone should do a usertitle of that). So, without further ado, I wanted to discuss big questions regarding gaming. For instance: - What do you remember most about gaming?
- Who was the toughest/most exciting enemy you ever faced?
- What was--in your own thoughts--the best game in the history of gaming?
- What was--in your own thoughts--the worst game in the history of gaming?
- What was your longest time spent playing video games?
- Any nostalgic experiences of your own?
Even though the majority of us (myself included) weren't born in the late 80's (right?) to experience retro style, after reading a heck of a lot of comments on some other sites, I can get a pretty sweet relation between the past of others and mine (plus a made up past). Ahem... - Spoiler:
You're coming home from Canton Middle School tired, and its during the cold transition from autumn to winter; 1998. You're slightly shy, and all that mattered was that you would go home ready for the Holidays. Sweet, sweet, sweet...
Tomorrow's Thanksgivings Day, but your school allows you to have a three-week vacation afterward; which obviously means that you'll be playing Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64, Mario Kart 64, and Banjo-Kazooie until your fingernails turned purple, bundled up near a warm fire and enjoying the cozy beanbag and ginger ale.
Not too long ago, Nathan Johnson brought in a Nintendo Power magazine to the courtyard and it became an actual event. Prepubescent children swarmed the young Nathan and attempted to get a glance at the famed issue, unzipping their coats to try and not huddle together like penguins in the lunchroom.
After Thanksgivings, Nathan, and Joel Eden will go upstairs to your 8 x 7 bedroom to fight over who will get the largest screen in Mario Kart (since there's only three of them)...

| Haha, the controller part is so true. Although the 64 is a shit confusing controller.
# What do you remember most about gaming? I remember playing a lot of older Tony Hawk games, I freaking shit bricks when you could make your own level before.
# Who was the toughest/most exciting enemy you ever faced? Holy crap, the last story mode colossi on Shadow of the Collosus(he's not thaat hard, just time consuming.)
# What was--in your own thoughts--the best game in the history of gaming? Truthfully I would have to say the CoD series, I know it seems overrated and shit, but they are good games. That or 2d Mario for 64. This might change in 21 days because my sister works at blockbuster and will be renting me Star Wars Force Unleashed II
# What was--in your own thoughts--the worst game in the history of gaming? Pffbllttt. Uhm. Not to sure about that. Probably either Eragon for the Ps2(total letdown) or Shaun White snowboarding for the Wii.
# What was your longest time spent playing video games? 6 hours straight, no bathroom breaks, I was in like 5th grade. I was playing the first Mortal Kombat game where you are actually 3d and walk around in story mode. Played it all the way through in those 6 hours and beat it. I was thoroughly proud.
# Any nostalgic experiences of your own? Duude bromeister, I used to play GTA San Adreas so much even though I was a leetle boy, then I lost the game for like 4 years, my sister kept saying she never ever had it. Guess where it was? HER CLOSET! I played that game so much after that. Evil Dead is a great movie and game too, remember playing that and then having nightmares for days xD

Anyone else had/once had the GameCube? Best. Console. Ever.
I remember pouring hours into Sonic Heroes and MK:Double Dash, and wanting to put even more into games like Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, Viewtiful Joe, and Soul Calibur II. I wish I played RE:4 (best Resident Evil) but I was too young, and I heard rumors of very haunting nightmares...Plus, I remember going to a Target store to buy Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. I immediately fell in love with the game.
Anyone else...? | |

| I had the gamecube. It was a good classic...until the newer consoles came out. N64 was prolly the only product coming out the Nintendo that I actually enjoyed. | |

Anyone else...? PM:TTYD was probably one of my favorite games on the gamecube. And the only reason why I might say the PS1 and PS2 were better than the NGC/N64 would be because they had/have FF series

| Honestly I think GoW is probably the best game out on PS2 graphics / gameplay / everything else - wise. I had some good times playing that game | |

| Gamecube was still great though, Mario Party and Soul Calibur II are amazing. Personally I think SCII is the best of th series. | |
