The Cake is a Lie

"SPOILERS* The infamous the Cake is a Lie quote. Spoken by GLaDOS a computer that is sent out in human destruction. Throughout the game GLaDOS forces you to go through dangerous rooms as an experiment to test out your abilities and of course the portal gun. Soon the Puzzles become life threatening and you start to see hints that GLaDOS is malfunctioning. As you continue on GLaDOS promises you cake at the end of the trial as a reward for your hard work. But throughout your building you stumble upon a small room where GLaDOS can't see where you are. In this room messages are written all over the wall the one that stood out was The Cake is a Lie. At this point in the game you knew something was going on and still had to go through all these puzzles. Making your way to the last chamber with GLaDOS you defeat her and finally get to see the outside. But at the very end of the game the last scene you see are back up units waking up and the ultimate irony of all a full uneaten Chocolate Cake."

I Would like to say that GLaDOS is not bent on Human destruction. She just followed her programming, although this caused her to flood the facility with a deadly neurotoxin. After this, someone installed a morality core, and everyone else...Idk what happened to them. But, because there is a portal 2, we know that there must have been some other humans involved and they must have been Still Alive after the end of Portal 1, as they Cyrogenically froze the main character. If anything, she just had bad programming and once she became self aware, she kinda was...insane. I miss portal, it was a great game.
