6 Steps to Being A Better Gamer

First topic message reminder :

1. Ditch the Guides
No one can ever be good if they constantly cheat. Stop looking up cheats. You can always ask me or another member to give advice, or you can have a friend over to help you. Just stop cheating!

2. No More Mr. Nice Guy
Once you decide you want to move on to step 2, none of us here will give you advice. You need to keep going at it. If you need to, take a break for a while, don't get frustrated, and try again. If the game is too hard, try an easier one, then come back.

3. Be Serious
You need to start gaming regularly. Remember, gaming is like any other sport: You have to practice to be good. Practice whenever possible, but don't play to long you forget about us here.

4. Ditch the Duds
All right, I'll say it. Most Nintendo games are easy as pie. You need to play harder games, instead of Mario, try Mirror's Edge. Instead of Pokemon, try Final Fantasy. Instead of Zelda, try Ratchet and Clank. (The earlier ones.)

5. Take the Test
Alright, here's your test. Find a game, a hard one, and beat it through without ANY help. If you need help finding a good game, I have billions of recommendations. Make sure the game is in your favorite genre so you can have the most fun.

6. Have Fun
Remember, gaming is about fun. Although games like Mario and Kirby are fun to play, we all like (and need) a challenge. Give these steps to your friends and you can all have fun with gaming!

Dude, i must b the best gamer ever! lol i hate when people look up cheats and guides and all that garbage. it takes away from the true gaming experience. ill admit though, i do use cheats sometimes, but thats only after i beat the game. once u beat the game all there is is to have fun playin it.

They're all great but none ever like mw2 nice guide tho.

You should add skip the "easy" or "beginner" difficulty level.

not a good idea. if u are new to tht type of game, then u will just suk at it for a long time.

I prefer playing the easier games such as mario and especially Pokemon, but I can be good at games when I am serious.

Playing Pokemon doesn't really help you. Pokemon is the shizz though.

Pokemon can be some serious help. Did you see this years finals? Didn't think so. Serious strategy when everything is lvl 100
