Braces

So yeah, I'm sorry I've been inactive it's just that I got braces on Wedensday last week. And if any of you have braces or had them, then I know how you feel cause it feels so annoying and it hurts extremely!!! It's painful because of all the pressure and I had no time to come on the computer cause of the pain.
Comments or concerns?

I had braces about a year ago. They should stop hurting in about a week. In about a month you will get used to them in your mouth and not feel them at all. You will actually be wondering what it would be like without them in a month or two. Around halfway through you will have to wear elastics, which kind of makes it hard to talk and stuff. Usually it takes 1-2 years until your braces get removed. After that you gotta wear a retainer for 2-3 years. I don't think it matters if you chew gum with braces as long as you make sure none get stuck. NEVER chew gum with retainer though, yeah they are very annoying.

Sorry man, I feel bad for you..I have to get braces, but my mom said we can't afford them at the moment.

How do braces=inactivity?? I got mine on a few weeks ago. Brush a lot and avoid bread, or it gets all up in the wires and its just nasty.

Elastics are only if your teeth are really really bad. I get mine off tomorrow.
